The Lee County O-Train Express is on time and ready to roll. We will have our first meeting of the campaign on Saturday, January 28 beginning at 9 a.m. at Quality Life Center (corner Ford Street and MLK - park on east side of building- Cuba Street - in the grass lot). Moderator for this meeting will be Dick Nogaj, developer of Fair Harvest that brought the blueberry farm to Immokalee and paid a living wage to all employees; conceived, designed and developed Jubilation Village in Immokalee (a development for average income earners); brought a college to Immokalee; started a Habitat for Humanity group in a Chicago suburb; author of Don't Retire - Inspire and a radio show with wife Florence of the same name - the list of accomplishments for Dick and Florence is just to long to complete here including work on immigration reform. The topic for discussion will be Accomplishments of the Obama Administration followed by what can we do to help re-elect him.
We will be joined by the teen group from Quality Life Center as part of a civics project.
