Detailed Rules: The object of the competition is to control and submit your opponent without the use of striking. This is a No Point system.
Ways to win submission: Causing your opponent to physically or verbally Tapout or quit by using a technique, typically through the application of various grappling holds. If no tap out it will go to the Judges for the most aggressive grappler for that round. Best two out three matches win. There will be two divisions; Kyu Rank Gi (uniform) Division and NO Gi Division. Kyu Rank will start in kneeingp Position. Black Belt grapplers will start in a Standing Position. In Kyu Rank Gi Division-Holding of the Gi will be allowed. Two grapplers of equivalent rank and weight will grapple with each other, bow to each other, kneeling down; three minutes per round. If third round is needed- five mins will be allowed. Black Belts will start in standing position. One coach for each fighter, per match. Referee may Restart the Round: If the grapplers reach a stalemate and do not work to improve position or finish.
Illegal Techniques in all divisions: No strikes, biting, eye gouging (includes chin to eye), head butting, small join manipulation (finger and toe locks), heel hook, hair pulling, or ear pulling, neck cranks or cervical crank. Slamming: ZERO tolerance on slamming. This is to avoid slamming to escape the guard and various submissions from the guard. A competitor will be immediately disqualified NOTE – Takedowns are not considered slamming, unless intent to injure is determined by the referee.
*Code of Conduct: We will be enforcing a zero tolerance rule on disrespecting, threatening with physical violence, or verbally abusing. Hanshi Torres will appoint referees and will appointed judges.
Winners and Competitors: The Winning grappler will compete for 1st Place and 2nd place Trophy. All other competitors will receive a Participation Trophy.

Application and fee must be in by February 12, 2012, the cost is $50.00 for one event Two event $65.00. Guest who choices to watch is $5.00 at the door.
